Commissioner Tally M. "Mark" Wisenbaker, Jr. is a native of Lowndes County, born October 10, 1951 in Valdosta, Georgia. He is a 1970 graduate of Woodward Academy and a graduate of Valdosta State College with a BBA in Management. Commissioner Wisenbaker left Valdosta to serve in the United States Navy. He later returned to Valdosta where he became owner/co-owner of several successful businesses. Commissioner Wisenbaker was co-owner of Tally's Lake Park Truck Stop from 1971 to 1977. He was production supervisor at Griffin Corp from 1977 to 1980. In 1980, Commissioner Wisenbaker became Regional Sales Representative for Chemical Specialties Inc. before he went on to become owner/operator of MAACO Auto Painting and Body Works in Mobile, Alabama from 1992 to 1996. He was also co-owner of Wisenbaker Driveline. Commissioner Wisenbaker was a Real Estate Professional, Associate Broker, and Broker from 1999 to 2010. Additionally, he currently holds a Georgia Real Estate Broker's License and is the co-owner/co-founder of Custom Relocation Specialists, LLC.
Commissioner Wisenbaker is an active member in the community and is a current member of the Gideon South Camp, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), and the Lake Park Chamber of Commerce. He is a past member of the American Wood Preservers Bureau, Valdosta/Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, Valdosta Board of Realtors, and the Azalea City Kiwanis Club.
Commissioner Wisenbaker has been married for forty-three years to Carol C. Wisenbaker. He has two children, Wendy and Tally, and four grandsons. He has been a member of First Baptist Church of Valdosta, Georgia for 27 years.
His experiences and opportunities will greatly contribute to his position as a Lowndes County Commissioner, helping him serve the community positively and effectively.
