Hello, I’m Roxanne!
I’ve always loved working with people and animals. In 1998, I attended Long Beach City College and then began my career as an Animal Control Officer in S. California. After the Rodney King riots of 1994, I relocated to Uvalde, Texas; where I served as an ACO and purchasing agent for the city. I was widowed in 2001, which brought me home to the east coast to be near my family. In 2005, I began work as an ACO for Lowndes County. Two years later, I transferred to LCFR and served as a Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer under the Fire Chief. In 2017, I traded my combat boots in for office loafers to serve as an Administrative Assistant for Lowndes County Fire Rescue. Throughout the past 18yrs. I have loved working for Lowndes County; where I can truly call my fellow employees my family! I have great pride for our community and for our leaders!
