Overview
Lowndes County recognizes that our employees are our most important resource. The Human Resource Department echoes that sentiment by providing an assortment of services to employees, retirees and potential employees with respect and compassion. Human Resources are responsible for administering several functions related to matters that affect present, past and future employees that include but are not limited to the following:
  • Advertising, recruitment, and selection
  • Benefit Administration
  • Employee relations / grievances
  • Employment records
  • New hire orientation
  • Preparing and maintaining personnel policies and procedures and employee handbooks
  • Salary and Payroll Administration
  • Unemployment and workers compensation
  • Vehicle and property damage
